My room at The Edgwater Hotel was very clean and nicely decorated. There were charging stations built into the tables on each side of the bed, which was very convenient. The bathroom, though on the smaller side had a lovely modern tiled shower stall. The bed was very comfortable, with lots of pillows. The front desk staff were helpful and polite. The hotel provides a turn down service each evening, with a bottle of water delivered to the room at the same time....a very nice touch. There is a free shuttle service to the airport. The hotel is very conveniently located in the downtown area, within walking distance of most businesses and Government offices. Although located on the main street, the room was quiet. There is a very popular restaurant next door for lunch and dinners, as well as a nice restaurant on site that is available for all meals. Across the street is a coffee shop that has very good baked goods, salads, etc...excellent for a quick lunch or coffee break. The river walking trail is directly opposite the hotel. Turn left and a 10 minute walk along the trail takes you to the library, the Kwanlin Dun Cultural Centre, and Shipyards Park. Further along will bring you within the Wal Mart shopping area. Turn right on the riverside trail and you will walk past the main Government legislature building, through Rotary park and onto the Millennium Trail - about a 5 km walking trail loop that skirts both sides of the Yukon River and Whitehorse Rapids. Enjoy your trip to Whitehorse. It is lovely little city with much to see and do for many diverse interests.
Best hotel in Whitehorse! Great rooms and great restaurant!
It's a newly renovated and clean hotel and well located.The rooms are decent but you can hear the rooms above you and the doors slam hard. I'd suggest asking for a room on second floor.There is no gym but you can use the Best Western one.
Clean. Pleasant employees. Quiet. What more could you want. An elevator would have been nice
We did contact you directly about our complaints.We would recommend this hotel for the awesome housekeeping staff and the building is very nicely renovated, but it was very noisy through the night.
