Fairly cheap, but for good reason. The window would not close all the way, and the bathroom door would not close. I stayed 2 nights and they did not clean the room while we were there.
The motel has been renovated and the staff were so friendly and helpful! The rooms do get a little warm during the summer, but there's air conditioner and a fan in the room. To stay in Whitehorse is extremely expensive, while Stratford is reasonable and one of the most affordable that I was able to find. It is a motel, so nothing fancy, but it's affordable, clean and comfortable!
Hopefully you don't need to plug anything in, because every socket is preoccupied with splitters and extension cords. Drunks pounding on doors late at night. Not sure if those were gunshots I heard last night but the RCMP showed up first thing this morning. On sight laundromat was convenient, internet works.
Great people and always a good value for the money, No it is not like the Empress Hotel in Victoria but I come up here 2 times yearly and have stayed everywhere else, and for the Money, you can't do better, there is cheaper but again, you will get what you pay for in Whitehorse, this Motel is in the heart of downtown, you can walk to everything and it's clean and quiet with a nice TV, what else could you want in the north?, ill be staying here in April again
