Wonderful museum (not exactly the right term) with lots of info about the ancient land bridge between Asia and North America. There are 2 movies offered on a rotating basis - we watched the longer one and learned a lot. Then we walked around, reading the displays, talking to the staff (VERY knowledgeable), ... Just go!

Yukon Bearings interpretive cntre is a good place to visit in Whitehorse. It features dioramas of extinct ice age animals, complete skeletons of some of Beringias iconic animals, and a life-sized replica of the hotly debated Bluefish Caves archaeological site. Very informative . The place is dedicated to the presentation and preservation of the First Nations and scientific history of the vast sub-continent called Beringia.

Very nice history of the Beringia bridge. They explain the changes, the animals and humans that went through back in the days. Lots of animals in display, some we would never expect! Tour available and a video to watch. Very complete info and we were happy to go.

This is one of the best museums I have visited with kids. They have a children's corner with more activities than some children's museums: toy animals, puppets, a game to match pelts/paw prints with the animal, computer games specific to Beringia animals, giant floor puzzle and more. Additionally, the docent gave my six year old and my eleven year old age appropriate scavenger hunts that helped them explore the museum. The tour for adults and older kids was well thought out and delivered in an engaging and interesting way. They even got to through spears at the end. Definitely worth a visit!

A most interesting and educational experience about the pre-historic evolution of Canada's North West region. The staff is passionate about what they do, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and friendly.
